The first annual New Hampshire Pie baking Contest was held last week at the New Hampshire Farm Museum in Milton New Hampshire. We volunteered to help out and DJ baked an awesome blueberry pie. The main ingrediant? New Hampshire Wild Blueberries (sorry Maine, ours are sweeter...)

Here's a sample of the day's Ametuer entries. In addition, five local farms, restaurants, and bakeries sent down several offerings for a Peoples Choice Pie contest. A lot of pie eating went on during and after the contest. Many true New Englanders came in and gave up thier Sunday afternoon to support the contest. All willing to take a hit (a few slices) for the cause. Someone had to do it.
